I have always had a desire to both design and manage the production of my work.
I found I was increasingly drawn to a production role as I worked for fine art
publishers where design and production were so closely related.

Moving into production management at two major business information publishers
I had the opportunity to learn new skills, working with SGML and XML specialists.
I am familiar with the potential of template driven design to simplify working practices,
and also to enable multi-format, multi-platform output.

I enjoy managing teams of designers and production staff, and I relish having
practical projects to work on where I can use my design skills. The challenge
of rapidly evolving technology means there are always new things to learn,
and new ways of solving design problems using different media. I enjoy projects
both large and small, either managing a team, being part of a team, or working
on my own.

I have worked for a wide variety of companies, both large and small, including:
Oxford University Press, Weidenfeld & Nicolson, Editions Alecto, The Folio Society,
Wolters Kluwer, The Continuum Publishing Group, Siemens, Informa,
Soundcheck Books and The Professional and Higher Partnership
